The lodge

Accommodation Details

Self catering with bedding supplied. Suitable for the less mobile and disabled. Community, church groups and families welcomed, up to seventeen people.
Available for weekend use, mid-week use and for whole week use.
Also available for one day and half day lets.
No minimum size for groups. Exclusive use.

Rooms

2 Twin en-suite rooms (one suitable for the less able), 1 single en-suite room, 
2 bunk bed rooms, 1 twin room, 6 single rooms.

Well equipped kitchen/refectory, cosy lounge, large common/meeting room.
Modern central heating throughout building.

Sensory garden, barbeque, picnic and play area.

Housekeeping

You are expected to leave the lodge clean and tidy.
Careful use of the premises helps us to keep the costs down.

Other Information

Bring your own food and milk
and also your own towels.

Groups are responsible for preparing and cooking their own food and applying appropriate food hygiene.
Please take away all unused food
at the end of your stay.


Bedding, kitchen equipment
and tea towels are provided.
There is a cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble drier, toasters and coffee maker
in the kitchen.
There is a drying room with spin dryer
and convector heaters for drying very
wet clothing.
The nearest shops are in Edzell,
30 minutes drive, 16 miles, away.

Most mobile phones will not have a signal in the area.
There is no TV or WiFi and very limited
radio reception.

To travel to St Drostan’s Lodge, take the B966 north from Edzell for 1.25 miles, then turn up the road signposted to Glenesk, Tarfside, Lochlee. 10 miles on, you will find the lodge behind the church, over Tarfside Bridge.

Library
We have a library of fairly recent paperbacks which you are welcome to use. If you do not finish the book, please take it home and either return it later, or leave at some other holiday destination. This way, because each book has a "St Drostans" sticker, we can spread our name to a wider audience.
